Long Time No See - and all that!

I was hoping to be able to hold out and not blog but no I am weak. So 'what's occuring?' as Nessa from Gav and Stacey would ask, well still in same job as mentioned below and still loving it as much, despite still working long hours I do still want to get up in the morning and go to work.

Other than work I'm boring, it's work during week, pub from Fri evening until Sun and then the circle starts again. Hoping to grab another hol to Cyprus again just before Christmas to get a real winter tan!!.

Any way I promise to have something exciting to say on my year of no blogging anniversary!

Catch Up Meeting

Sorry for not coming on recently been busy busy busy. Graduated from Uni and then came home to find that job. But no not any job a job I actually want. Easier said than done I hear you cry. Well alas! I am now officially a marketing and advertising executive for a undisclosed company. But a huge mail order company made up of lots of lil brands. Loving it!!!

Dispite only being paid from 9am till half 5 I seem to be always bringing work home with me and leaving late - but do you know what I actually dont care its a job I want. Which for a graduate getting a job I want and enjoy this soon after finishing is ace. Im proud of myself. Is that bigheaded of me?? Aint suppose to be.

 Saw this and thought some were funny look out for the Ikea stools ad. 

OH and quickly wanna say I am uber excited one of my closest mates is coming home from France after being there for 2 years tomorrow - PARTY TIME!!!

Final Countdown and all that

Right so its the final two weeks until all my work has to be in to end this degree. I came home for a week to crack on, it all started well then i got ill. But thats no excuse so now Im back up to uni today and will be keeping my head down ful steam ahead for the next two weeks then ill check in tel ya all how it goes. and i promise ill get work on my portfolio blog when im happy with it. which at this rate will be after the 23rd when judgement day begins.

Three little words but such a big meaning

Ok there are many three little words that mean a lot, the one everyone thinks of is 'i love you' but nope ive decided the best way to describe how im feeling about the final few weeks until my third year at uni is over in a list of three worded sentences and phrases.

The final countdown.

Head. Banging. Brickwall.

Pit of selfworthlessness.

Inspiration needed desperately.

Home to concentrate.

24 days to go. (ok this one is four long but does '24' really count as a word)

Advertising is gay. (its not but sometimes it feels that way)

Extra strong coffee.

General dogsbody needed.

Facebook THE distraction.

My pens poised.

Blank sketch pad.

My heads empty.

Just Do It. (wise words of my tutor about having an idea you're not sure about)

Be a man. (more words from a friend, i was told to shut up, toughen up, and be a man. basically  stop moaning and do my work)

Sun shining outside.

Shops are calling.

Degree show looming.

Portfolio hand in.

and finally, My Works Done. (ok im not at this final part yet but be warned when i do get to here there will be celebrations galore).

right then i suppose i better be a man and just do it. 

does someone have a gun?? no not to shoot myself but to the finish one last three worded phrase - Ready... Steady... 

Saw this on The Chip Shop Awards from last year and made me laugh it doesn't say who did it but its ace and well done. The Chip Shop Awards are basically for ideas you have but they would never run, basically the ideas u have and do just to make you and friends laugh. We all know of some we have done like that.

Wow and the ghd reckoning has come

So not been on here for a while. The amount of uni work is mounting up and the pressure is building dun dun dun. Only 40 days left - thanks Hayley! But while working on my ghd campaign for Tues, more of that later, I had Britians Got Talent on in the background and lil person is fab he is like a young Paul Potts the winner of last years. 

It is amazing.

GHD

Yes well our tutors have set up a external brief with TBWA Manchester for ghd hair stylers. Been working on it for a good few weeks now and finally got the images sorted, laid out and about to press print for the Tuesday meeting. Fingers crossed it goes well.

Just a quick thing about this songs video, really does make me think simple things are the most effective. I love this video simple because you can tell the people were all sat around throwing ideas around to one another with the song on repeat in the background and then one of the guys writes the words on his hand doodling and starts doing this and bam and idea thats ace just like that. Just wish I could do the same. Enjoy!
